Click Track Recording Problem

Post by PR1821 » Sat Oct 16, 2010 7:33 pm

Hello good people. I've spent several hours trying to troubleshoot a really irritating problem and hope someone can help me. Installed Audacity on my XP box and have a SoundBlaster Audigy ZS. After I create a click track and record the next track, the click track records itself onto the 2nd track. Looked everywhere, can't find the answer.

Problem doesn't exist on my puney little laptop so it must be something about the SoundBlaster.

Many thanks to ANYONE who can help me with this.

SoundBlaster cards usually provide a control panel near the Time/Date on the Desktop. In there you can set the recording input. It needs to be set to "Line" or "Mic" (depending on which input you are using) and NOT set to "What U Hear". (Creative Labs usually refer to "Stereo Mix" as "What U Hear")
