I transferred songs on a cassette into audacity files. I saved the songs. I created songs as wave files, thinking the quality would be better, but I can't email them as the files are too large. I went back to try to find the original saved files to create more compressed files, but they don't seem to exist any more. Wouldn't they have been saved? What should I look for? Or do I have to go back and retransfer off the cassettes again?
Thank you,
Leah

Re: Lost files
I suspect that you either did too much tidying up and deleted project files or you did not even Save Project at all.
BUT you are extremely lucky - as you have the WAV files you can just open these in Audacity and re-export as MP3 at the appriate rate (but do also retain your WAV files for later use and backup).
