Audacity Forum

So I'm kinda helpless in this situation... I had a line in going into my computer, and i started recording. when i finished, it hit the stop button and i got the error: "audacity.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close" what's up with this?

Audacity 1.2.6 is very old and no longer maintained. Try the new Audacity 1.3.12 http://audacityteam.org/download/

Also, check that you have plenty of free disk space.
