help me! interferring tracks?

Post by Gamberth » Tue Oct 12, 2010 8:34 pm

ok so im a newbie at recording but i am trying to record multiple guitar tracks. I record the first track and i sounds fine. Then when i record the second it seems to not pickup anything. It is usually only present when there is not anything being played on the first track. However, i can harmonize vocals flawlessly? Any ideas on what might be causing this? :)

What is different between recording guitar tracks and recording vocal tracks?
Are you using the same microphone for both guitar and vocals?

This does not make sense.

You can record multiple tracks if they are vocal, but not if they are guitar?
How about if you start recording your voice, then throw in a couple of notes on your guitar? :?
