Hi.

I just got a minidisk - a Sony Walkman Net MD MZ-N710. This device can't upload to computer, so I also got a USB2,0 Video Grabber mit Audio from LogiLink.

Had a lot of problems using the LogiLink, so many mails was sent to Germany...

Finally I learned that I have to use Audacity. Fine, that's allready a well-used program on my computer. This will be easy - or so I believed. But no way!

When I try to get Audacity to record, nothing happens. I have connected the minidisc with the LogiLink to my computer, and I have tried to set the parameters in Audacity. But it seems that Audacity can't find the LogiLink.

I can thoose between:
Microsoft Sound Mapper - input
USB Audio Interface
SB X-Fi Audio (CCE0)
PolderbitS Audio Driver

But whatever I pick, nothing happens at all. Audacity records nothing.

(I installed the driver to LogiLink, connected all cables as told - and started the minidisk playing.)

I really don't know what to do next. I know I've done something wrong - but what???

Please help me, I need to upload my minidisc-recordings as soon as possible! I'm no technical wizzard, and english is not my first language - so be kind... lol. ;)

Why can't you just use the headphone output of the MD directly to the line-in on your PC?

I really wish I could!

But first of all - I don't have such a cable, I think.. None of those I have can do the job - I just tryed.

Second - Audacity still won't recognise my net md or the LogiLink. I don't know how to get Audacity to record from either of them.

So I ask all you wise people...; How do I set the propeties, and to what???

Sorry, just had a closer read of your original post - surely the USB Audio Interface in that available list is the Logitech? The Logitech is a USB device, right?

So what happens when you select that, play a minidisc and press record on Audacity? Does the cursor move at all? Do you just get a thin blue line? Do you get the two-tone blue wave patterns?
