*PLEASE help exporting problem-creating large files

I have been using audacity for almost a year now and no problems. I made some edits to a file on Friday and no problems... but now I start with a mp3 file that is about 28 minutes (4.73 MB) and when I trim and edit it ends up being 25MB! it is so large, it won't let me upload... I don't know what has happened... but please help as I have a workshop tomorrow and I need to upload these files.. I have tried re-loading and everything I could think of.. same thing, over 20MB each time!

When I look at the file it gives these preferences:

WAV 16 bit PCM
OGG quality- 5
Mp3 export Lame v3.98
Bit rate- 128
32 bit float
44100Hz
mono

As far as I know, I haven't changed a thing from the way I was doing it... I tried it in the new beta version of Aud and the old and I am getting the same problem. I am running Windows 7 Firefox.

***UPDATE****

I decided to crank up my old Windows XP computer and try to do my editing and it worked No Problem!! It must be a Windows 7 glitch....

With Windows-7 you really should be using the latest Beta 1.3.12 - you can get it from here: http://audacityteam.org/download/

Can you try the same test under 1.3.12 on W7 and then report back, thanks.
