The output sound is being recorded
When I hit record in Audacity both the output sound and the input sound is recorded, I only want the input sound. What is wrong? I have a Realtek soundcard and Realtek HD Audio output is selected for playback and Realtek HD Audio input is selected for recording but the output sound is still being recorded. Help!

Re: The output sound is being recorded
This isn't an Audacity problem. When you set up to record internet audio, Windows runs both record and play sides of the sound card at once. You need to turn that off to record your voice or guitar.
Go into Windows Control Panels and set your microphone or connection for recording, not "Mix-Out" or Stereo-Mix."
Or, follow these instructions backwards. There is no wiki to stop recording internet audio.
