Applying Gverb Reduces Volume?

Post by Dr Chickenbone » Sun Oct 03, 2010 1:36 pm

After I add Gverb to a track the volume seems to get cut in half. The recording becomes too quiet. If I increase the volume the speakers sound like they are vibrating(possibly clipping). I'm using Audacity 1.2.6.

These are my current settings:

Yes, the default settings in G-Verb are rubbish.
See here for some usage suggestions: http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/GVerb
I recommend using the "Duplicate and mix together" method.
