Want to use the reverb feature..

Post by Rickenbacker » Sat Oct 02, 2010 5:05 pm

..but after testing it on my voice It. Sounded. Horrible! *Nothing* like the clean, clear reverb effect you get from a guitar amp. Am I better off just doing it through an amp?

What version of Audacity are you using? What is the name of the reverb effect (in the "Effect" menu) you are trying to use?

1.2.6

It's called 'Gverb'. I'm planning on switching to version 1.3
Wonder if it'll sound any different.

The default settings in GVerb are rubbish.
There are some suggested settings here: http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/GVerb
I would also recommend using the "Duplicate and mix together" method.
