My computer is a Hewlett Packard Pavilion e9220f. Operating system is Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit.

The link HP gave me to check on specs is:

Hope it helps. Sorry for all the confusion. Thank you again.

If you go to that web page, scroll down to "I/O ports", click the "+" to expand that section, then click the "+" beside "Back I/O Ports" you will see #8 "Audio Line In". Very much like the picture stevethefiddle posted on October 1.

To connect a line level signal to this port, you need a cable with a stereo mini-jack on the end.

Now you need to go to that wikipedia page I linked to earlier and tell us if the Audio Out jacks on your keyboard are RCA type connectors. RCA connectors are the type found on the back of most home stereo systems.

If they are, you need a cable that looks like the one shown on this page of the manual:

http://manual.audacityteam.org/index.ph ... _Recording

Scroll down to the picture of the "Dual-RCA to stereo mini-plug cable". Just below that picture is the section of the tutorial titled "Connecting a keyboard to your computer" - you might want to read that section in particular, as well as the whole page.

Hi, just wanted to thank all who help. I'm up and working fine. Sorry for all the confusion and frustration.
Again, I'm a novice. Cables are all in place and I've already created MP3s and CD's. Thanks all!
