Cursor does not move

I'm running 1.2.6 on Vista with a big HP desktop. I've recorded a number of tracks successfully, and utilized a few FX, and all seems to be well. Today I open up the file, and hit "play", but the cursor does not move past 0. It appears to be stuck in a locked loop and cannot get past itself. This is true regardless of where I move the cursor in the project. The same when I hit "record" - the cursor does NOT budge past "0". Has this happened to anyone else? Any ideas on how to fix?

You can reset Audacity by downloading the "Audacity 1.2.6 reset Preferences .reg file for Windows" file from the bottom of this page: http://www.gaclrecords.org.uk/audacitydl.html

Save this .reg file to your desktop, then double-click it and click "yes" when asked if you want to add the information to the Registry. This will reset most of your Audacity Preferences to safe default values and will hopefully fix the problem.
