Hello, I have been using Audacity for a little over a year until my computer died. I just bought a new one that has a built in Realtek & I also installed my Sound Blaster Live card - same one from the other machine. I am getting both of these to work with every other program I have except for Audacity. I go into the I/O preferences to select which card to use & NOTHING is listed to even choose.
Computer specs
2.1 ghz AMD processor
1 gb ram memory
160gb hard drive
Windows XP
I use this for my work & haven't been able to do any recordings for almost a week & am hurting because of it. Please help. I did a search for an answer but couldn't find anything.
Audacity doesn't see my sound cards.

Re: Audacity doesn't see my sound cards.
Disable the on-board sound in BIOS and uninstall all traces of the Realtek drivers. The SoundBlaster should then work perfectly.
