Im trying to record 2 tracks at one time using my alesis usb interface and AUDACITY 1.3 (beta) but it wont allow me too. Can you record two track in Audacity

Edit menu > Preferences > Audio I/O
set the number of channels to "2 (stereo)"

thanks but I cant get it to play back both side of the track - it records it as one stereo track but it one play back one side - how do I fix that
