Help on removing background music from recorded file

I have a video taken during a stage performance of a friend of mine. I loved the song so much that i converted the video into mp3 because all i wanted was the audio. I was on the crowd when i was taking the video and somebody near me sang the song so loud. i wanted to remove the background music and keep my friend's vocals and eliminate the one who sang the song so loud, is that possible with Audacity? I have the Audacity 1.2.6 on my computer, tried those that I read on the forum but still the loud voice exists. Anyone who can help me?
