I see BassBoost, but there a way of reducing bass?

You can use the "Equalisation" effect.

Thanks for the suggestion. I tried it but it didn't seem to have any effect, probably because I don't know what setttings to start with. Can you make a recommendation?

well lower frequencies are bass, higher is treble. 440 hz is near the bottom end of what a standard guitar can play, and about 260 hz is middle c which is halfway on a keyboard and considered near the top of the bass vocal range. So hopefully this gives u some bearing of where on the equalizer what will effect what sound you hear.
