Hey all. Kinda new to the forums, and Audacity.
So I'm trying to record something, and since I want to time it just right, I have it play back while I'm recording. However, sound only comes through one of my headphones. It comes through both of the speakers, so that's a good sign. However, it can't be the headphones causing the problem since I went on YouTube and watched 3 videos, and I could hear clearly through both headphones. I'm guessing it has something to do with Audacity, so I checked the pan on both of my audio tracks. It was right in the middle, and just to test, I panned it all the way to the right (the headphone that's not working) and it still didn't come through. I don't know what could cause it, but it's happening.
So is there anything I have to adjust?
Thanks in advance!
EDIT: It turns out my microphone is only recording for the left ear, not the right, for some reason. Whenever I record, I get signal from the left, but not the right. Strange... Help?

In Audacity, go to "Edit menu > Preferences > Audio I/O" and set the number of recording channels to "1 (mono)"
