Unwanted External Noise
I have used Audacity in the past, but recently purchased a Dell Laptop Inspiron 1525 with a Sigma Tel sound driver (w/Windows Vista). When recording streaming audio, I am picking up external sound sources (i.e. televison sounds, talking, etc.). It would appear that my computer is setup as a microphone w/o having one connected. How can I disable this feature so that I am only recording the "what you hear from the speaker" sounds? My previous Audacity experience was through the use of a Dell desktop and a Dell Inspiron 8600 (Windows XP on both). I have not had this external noise issue before. Can anyone give me some tips? Thanks.
