Cuts more than I mark

I realize this is probably a very basic question but I can't find the answer. I have been using Audacity for a couple of years and never experienced this before. When I mark a section to cut and then "cut" it always cuts more on the right (end) than I marked...any idea why? I had already used the recording once and edited it fine, but ended up having to redo it on a different computer and so re-ripped the CD the same way. This time though I had this issue. I tried rebooting, and ripping again, under a different name. It plays in the original rip once loaded into Audacity just fine. It's just cuts that are acting so strange.

I may have solved my own problem after continuing to read...I deleted some of the other attempts I had made for ripping and etc. and it seems to be working ok now with anewly named file.
