Hey whats up, ty for taking the time to maybe help me out.
Me and a friend would like to start recording a podcast, and we'd like to do it with Audacity. But the problem is we don't live anywhere near each other and thus we'll have to do it online. Is there anyway to set it in Audacity to record both the microphone input from my end, and the sounds playing on my computer too? Aka his voice?
If this is something Audacity can't do, does anyone know any software that can? Thanks for your time.

Re: Recording Mic and Sound audio
You need to open up the Windows mixer (double click on the soundcard icon in the sys tray near the clock), then go to the recording settings and select "Mix"/"Stereo Mix"/"What You Hear" as the recording input (the name varies depending on your hardware and drivers).
