Latency and that LOW voice thing

Hey all...

In the middle of redoing things, and am going to use a laptop temporarily to record instead of the bigger set up..

Don't have external sound card, just internal, 1/8" input. Coming out of a Behringer 1204 mixer, from the tape out.

Upon recording, I get that Low, grumbly voice like a tape being slowed down and some serious latency. This happens while recording.

Looking for some fixes, have not found any.

You help is appreciated.

Thanks.

I's a lot worse than that. You have a Mono, Low-Level, Microphone input on a Windows machine that assumes it needs to manage the sound for echo cancellation during a video conference.

And you're overloading it.

You thought that was just a 1/8" input.

So just as it sits right there in front of you, you can't do that. It might be too late, but we send most people off to buy an external USB sound card like the UCA 202. That will add one single stereo IN and OUT to your laptop.
