I was trying to render the tracks before mixing as the tutorial indicated, but I have no "tracks" menu on my version 1.2.6
All I need to do is drop the guitar volume on one track at a point in the song - how can I mixdown to stereo live?
Tracks Menu as indicated in the tutorial?

Re: Tracks Menu as indicated in the tutorial?
Audacity doesn't do anything live except record and playback.
Audacity 1.3.12 has Tracks.

You are looking at the wrong manual. Here is the Audacity 1.2.x manual: http://audacityteam.org/manual-1.2/FatStratCat wrote:but I have no "tracks" menu on my version 1.2.6
Functionality in Audacity 1.2.6 is very limited compared to 1.3.12. I would highly recommend upgrading to Audacity 1.3.12. You can download it from here: http://audacityteam.org/download/beta_windows
The full Windows install version contains the latest 1.3.x manual. The 1.3.x manual is also available on-line here: http://manual.audacityteam.org/index.ph ... =Main_Page
An easy way to do that is with the Envelope Tool. http://manual.audacityteam.org/index.ph ... elope_ToolFatStratCat wrote:All I need to do is drop the guitar volume on one track at a point in the song
