Can't Use the Letter "Z" in labels

Odd problem: I can't type the letter "Z" when I create labels. Lower case or upper case. So if I try to type "Tweezer" for a song title, it comes out, "Tweeer". Regardless of how many times I type it. Z works perfectly fine in every other program. I have to export and then change all the file names that might have a Z which is cumbersome and annoying. Is there a solution to this?
Thanks!

This is a known bug in Audacity 1.2. It has been fixed in 1.3 - so your choices are to upgrade to the latest Beta 1.3.12 (usually a much better choice than the now ancient 1.2) or continue with the workaround you described.
You can get 1.3.12 from here:

I think you'll be pleased - 1.3 has a lot of nice new features - and despite it's Beta labeeliing is usually a much better choice for modern PC platforms (1.2 is so old now that Noah was probably using it to record animal cries and birdsong in The Ark!)

Wow!
Completely pleased, this rocks!
Being able to easily add labels is the big win for me as I do a lot of that with live concert recording.
(And the Z key helps quite a bit being a Phish fan: Tweezer, Suzy Greenberg, Character Zero, Eliza, Maze, Lizards, Amazing Grace, etc. were always a bitch for me)
thanks for the help.
