Recording in stereo
Is there anyway I can make audacity record a mono input in stereo?

Why do you want to do that? What are you wanting to achieve?

Re: Recording in stereo
I have a device attached to the phone which allows me to record, using audacity, interviews with people for my BTR radio show. It only has a mono plug and only records the one track. When uploaded to BTR for playing during my show the the track is at a considerably less volume than the usual stereo tracks becuaue its a mono track and no amount of fiddling with the volume will get it anywhere near the correct volume... the curious thing is that this only happens on BTR. LIsten to it using WMR, Adacity etc and it sounds fine...
Re: Recording in stereo
Duplicate your mono recording (edit menu) then click on the name of one track and set it to "Left" channel, then click on the name of the duplicate track and set it to "Right" channel. When you Export the audio, it will be as a stereo file.
However, there should really be no difference in volume between a mono track or a stereo track. perhaps it is a fault with the media player that you use for BTR radio?

Re: Recording in stereo
Thanks!
I think its a fault with BTR as it only happens when they 'broadcast' it during a program - it sounds fine any other time. Here's an example..

You have to sit through a few minutes of the broadcast to get to it.
