Hey all ,

i'm pretty new with this audacity and also with putting audio to pc with a turntable.
I just bought myself a Akai ATT10U and started ripping my 12" to pc.
Everything went well , but now when i try to play my files i don't hear any sound.
I see that it's playing by the volume meters that are going up and down , but where's the sound ?
The files where transfered to mp3 and they still play in audacity , but not in any other player.
Does somebody has an idea what could be the problem ?

From looking at the specs on t'interweb I see that your TT is a USB device. When you connect most USB devices like this to Audacity/PC they have a nasty habit of taking over the audio output as well as the input - hence the audio out is being sent to the soundcard in your TT and the TT has no speakers/playback facility.

All you need to do is to re-direct the audio output to your normal PC soundcard. You may need to do this in two places: Audacity and Windows.

Audacity: Edit > Preferences > Audio I/O > Playback Device - you may need to stop and restart audacity for this to take effect

Windows: Control Panel > Sounds and Audio Devices > Audio > Sound Playback

Thx waxcylinder

i can hear it play now.
You were right , my speakers were still connected with the turntable.
I hope that i don't have to do it all the time or i go berserk.
Anywho thx again.
