Hello everyone.
I have a very strange issue.
I have a multi-track project that I recorded. Guitar and several tracks of vocals.
Now, when I load my Audacity project, only ONE track is able to be heard and the others, even though they are not muted, volume is in the mid-range and the waveforms are there and the tracking line is going over them, they are silent.
I don't know how else to describe it, but it makes no sense that all but one of my tracks would be audible. It sucks because I don't want to re-record all of this stuff!! Help!
Thanks.
Only one audible track with several waveforms in project

Check that you do not have the "Solo" button pressed on the track that plays.

Which Audacity exactly do you have? Which Windows?
You get the bouncing light sound meter when you play track one, right? If you mute track one and play any or all of the others, do you get the sound meter?

While you were overdubbing, the show played OK, right? And it played OK when you did the last save? At each new voice, did you "Save As" the show with a new name, so you have six or eight projects back there?

Audacity 1.2.6, Windows XP Home Edition

The sound meter is moving when I play back the tracks, either singularly or all at once.

When I was adding additional tracks I could hear the others, yes. And it was playing when I saved it last.
The last thing you mention I don't believe I did. Is that what NEEDS to be done or a best practice? If I have a project, it has say, two tracks, and then add another, I should save it with a new name?
