New here, sorry if this has been answered before...

I tried downloading LAME, got as far as getting the file onto my computer; when I tried to unzip it I got an error message reading "LoadLibrary(“C:DOCUME~1SARAPEA~1LOCALS~1TempTemporary”)failed – The specified module could not be found."

Any thoughts or ideas what I did wrong? Thanks in advance!

Patience. The question has to ripple around the world at least once. You'll find out how this works when you start to help on the forum yourself.

Which unzipper are you using? I've been known to use pkunzip.

On Windows, this could be a permissions issue although I can't exactly see how that could be possible. Is there more than one user on your machine? I can't think of any reason the system would fail to write to one of your temporary directories.

If you create a simple WordPad file, can you put it in that directory? If you can't do it, the unzipper isn't going to be able to do it.

Much more likely is a space issue. Are you approaching the end of your hard drive?
