Removing vocals in Audacity is a fairly elementary task(even though it doesn't quite work 100%). My question is can I improve the vocals in a song, or at least amplify them? I have a general idea as to how it could possibly work, but not quite sure how to do it.
(I'm using 1.2.6)

Audacity 1.2.x is now obsolete. Please use the current Audacity 2.1.x version.
The final version of Audacity for Windows 98/ME is the legacy 2.0.0 version.

Re: Question regarding vocals(not removing)
I filled up a legal pad once with the calculations about how to do this, but I never actually got it to work.

Well, even if there was a way I'd be screwed. The song I have is in mono. Guess that takes care of that...
Thanks anyway.
