Audacity Forum

Hey everyone,

I'm really new to Audacity so excuse my stupid questions . I have an audio file I want to cut up into tracks, so for example if I had an audio file 3:14 long, 0:00-0:45 can be Track1, and then 0:46-1:52 can be another.
How could i edit the file and get tracks?

Select the region you want for the first track by clicking and dragging then CTRL + B to label the region. Type in the label to name it if you want - it will be the name of the exported file. Repeat the labelling for the other regions. Then File > Export Multiple, making sure you put a check in "Include audio before first label".
