VERY poor sound quality
I have a USB turntable that uses your 1.2.6 program. I had never hooked this turntable to a computer & due to financial reasons needed to sell it. The gentleman brought over his laptop which was already loaded with 1.2.6 & after fiddling with it for a while we were able to get it to record. Even with the input as low as it would go, when we played it back, the output was pegged to the end and it sounded gravelly and distorted. After looking around your site and asking a few questions, I found out his laptop OS was win 7... could this be the cause of the problem?

See this sticky thread on Audacity/W7: http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic ... 12&t=16871
And note that the 1.3.12 Beta Audacity is the current recommended version for W7 - see: http://audacityteam.org/download/

Re: VERY poor sound quality
Thanks for your reply WC, I read that post but I'm a technology idiot! LOL The gentleman wants me to move my computer that's running XP closer so I can hook up the USB cable to it and see if I get better results. I'm disabled and it would be quite an undertaking to move my computer (that's why it never got hooked up to begin with). Should I just have him download the proper software & would that fix the problem? THANKS AGAIN FOR YOUR HELP!!
