Audio disables after a minute of playback

Hi there, I hope someone can help me. We have been experimenting with podcasts which include sound effects and recorded voice. On one of the podcasts, when we play the project back, just after one minute the playback stops playing even though the audio goes for about a minute 15 seconds.
If you export it to mp3 the whole of the audio tracks are exported and will playback in their entirety. Unfortunately we have not finished editing the last section but cannot play it back to hear it.
I'd be grateful to hear from anyone who may be able to help.

Thanks,
Siobhan

Gaelic, right? There is a Siobhan in HR at the other end of the building.

You gave me a weenie there. You combined two problems that don't normally happen together. Sudden, unexplained gaps in a Project usually means you deleted or moved a separate sound clip by accident. You can't move or delete anything once you start a project. But projects with that problem usually stay broken. They don't magically come back to life at the export step.

That's a good one. Will your project Export As WAV...? That may be your desperation method. Export as an high quality WAV file, re-import and continue editing with that. You will not be able to find your old edits, but you will have a top quality show to which you can add new ones.

Hi Koz,

Thanks for your great help with this. I've exported it as a WAV and most of it exported and was able to be reimported as a track, that continues into the section that wasn't being played before.

I think one part of the track which must have been copied from a previous recording (or attempted to be) didn't work, but we can now add more and finish off the podcast which is fantastic.

I really appreciate your help with this. Sorry to give you a tricky one but very well handled.

And yep! You were spot on with the name too! It's Gaelic.
