Audacity Forum

Hey I would like to remove the noise from my old LP'S , I went to my effect tab in Audacity but when I hit the tab none of the items under effect could be obtained. Do I need to upgrade to a different software or what? Can anyone help me ??/ Thanks

You have to select all or a section of a track before the effects are available. Also, effects can't be applied if the track is playing or is paused.
