Having trouble getting a click track. Under "Generate" I click on "click track..." and a new audio track opens up. There are no options for beats or anything. When I hit play there is no sound, no metering, nothing happens. I'm using Audacity 1.2.6.
Any help would be appreciated.

Do you have a show loaded in the timeline? I loaded a very simple song and Generate > Click Track... gives me an opening dialog where it asks me measures, beats, rhythm, etc., etc.

I tried generating a click track with a song loaded already and the same thing happens: new audio track pops up with nothing in it and no options for anything. I deleted the new track, and when I try generating a click track again I don't get any response at all, no new track.

Try using Audacity 1.3.4 - this has the additional benefit of more flexible click track generation.
