Windows Vista Home Edition 64 bit

I am new to Audacity and have installed the free download of Audacity to my Gateway computer. I am trying to remove vocals from Music CD.s I have followed the instructions to remove the Vocals after doing so I open the files and selcect play but it won't play. Can anyone help me on removing Vocals from Musich CD's.

Assuming this is an audio CD and you have not already done so, you need to extract the files on the CD to WAV following
these instructions.
For help with attenuating vocals see
Vocal Removal. As explained on that page if you use
Audacity 1.3.12 it has a built in Vocal Remover effect for removing centre-panned vocals.
