i cant hear my first recording when im working on my second

After you have recorded your first audio track, and you go to record your second, you should be able to hear your first recording while recording your second... however mine does not do that anymore, does anyone know how i can fix that?

Check that Edit - Preferences - Audio I/O - "Play other track while recording new one" is selected.
