So I record concerts at 24 bit 192 khz on a SoundDevices 704 and a RodeNT4 mic and after I label tracks in Audacity I "export multiple" at "Microsoft 16 bit PCM" and "Microsoft 24 bit PCM" and some of the time (not always) each track will have the beginning of the following track at the end of it.
It's an incredible annoyance and I can't figure out what the correlation is.
Can anyone help?!
When I track the beginning of next track is at end of each

Re: When I track the beginning of next track is at end of ea
also (not sure if this would matter... I assumed it shouldn't) I encoded the wavs as flac so I could transfer them more easily from my laptop to my pc via an external drive.
I then converted the flacs to wavs and burned the 16 bit to a cd and it had the overlap issue.
I played the 16 bit flac in vlc and the error occured there, too.
24 bit won't play on the pc, but I assume it has the same tracking issue as 16 bit.

Which version of Audacity are you using? (look in "Help menu > About Audacity")

That version is obsolete and should really be upgraded.lindermanr wrote:1.2.4
That's strange, I've never come across this problem with version 1.2.6. In fact I've only ever come across this problem with one old beta version (I think it was around 1.3.10). Are you using Windows Vista or Windows 7?lindermanr wrote:1.2.6 is the one on the laptop that I was using.
Anyway, upgrading to Audacity 1.3.12 should fix the issue.

Windows xp on the laptop.
I'll try the upgrade and see if that solves it.
Thanks!
