Annoying tone!

Post by stefan Liåker » Thu Jul 22, 2010 7:48 pm

Hi!
When I have downloaded vinylrecords to my computer and created mp3 or wawfiles and then listen to the music I hear a little tone every 30 second only 1/10 second long. How do I get red of that sound? Please help me!

Reason: The mis-spelling in the title was too "Enoyeing"

Turn off all the sound effects in your sound card and make sure you only obtain Audacity from us. Direct link:
http://audacity.googlecode.com/files/au ... -1.2.6.exe

Audacity doesn't add tones every 30 seconds if you obtain it from us. The usual explanation of that is that you have obtained Audacity or some other audio editor from another source, and it inserts the tones when you record to make you buy a full version. Or some other application is inserting tones when you play back what you have recorded (that could be your sound card or some program that modifies what the sound card plays).
