I am making CD"s from my cassettes using a Tape2USB unit. I have successfully recorded 4 cassettes. All of a sudden I am having problems. My CD's will play on windows media player but not on my home CD player. The only choices Audacity gives me for playback devices is USB/CODEC - Windows sound mapper - and REALTEK HD Audio. I have tried all 3 with no luck. What am I doing wrong ? Especially after successfully making 4 CD's. Thanks

Many CD burning programs have more than one option. "Music CD" is the format that will play in your mom's Buick, and Data CD will not. Data CD is the format you want if you need to put many different types of files on your CD. Photoshop pictures, Excel spreadsheets, or raw music files. Sometimes Data CDs with music files on them will play on a computer, because the computer has smarts to figure it out. Music CD players need The Real Thing -- a Music CD.
