Extracting audio from .mov

Post by soundreinvented » Thu Jul 08, 2010 5:28 am

I recently started using my camcorder which only uploads videos to my computer in the form of .mov. When I take the video into editing, the program I use is absolutely awful when dealing with sound, so I figured I could just extract the audio and edit it in audacity, then reapply it to my video. I'm new to all of this so sorry if the answer is super obvious, but I've tried importing audio, raw data, etc. and all I get is static, buzzing, or some strange noises. Any help? Thanks in advance.
