Numark USB - Audacity CD Installation prob

Hey guys.

I just bought the Numark USB turntable which contains the Audacity software. Problem is that when i try to install Audacity it asks me that i must have itunes in order to continue with installation.

Am i doing something completly stupid?

Are you sure that it is Audacity you have downloaded from the CD - Audacity has no requirement for iTunes and I seem to remember that Numark ships other software too (in fact I though that Numark was no longer shipping Auudacity with its TTs).

Audacity should work well with this device. If you do have Audacity on the Numark CD, what version no.is it most likely 1.2.4 or 1.2.6. If so you will be likely to be much better off with 1.3.12 - although this is a Beta release it is now a very mature Beta and works well (in fact on many modern platforms 1.3 is more stable than 1.2). 1.3 also has increased functionality that you will find useful for LP transcriptions.
