Lost my saved files and do not know how to retrieve them aga

Hi All,
I have lost my flash drive (portable drive) that contained my Audacity 1.2.6. files. Unfortunately, I have no backup of those files. Really I want them badly for my work. I am wondering if there is a way that allows me to retrieve or restore those files. For your information, I am using Windows 7 and I have recorded many files after them.
Kindly, help me to sole my problem

you really need to find your flash drive
search your pc for files like *.au or *.aup
if you find any then you might have some backups saved on the hd

Retrieve or restore them from where?
Did you create the projects on your computer hard drive, then delete the projects after copying them to your flash drive? If so, have a look in the Recycle Bin and see if they are still there.
BTW, the recommended version of Audacity for Windows 7 is version 1.3.12, which you can download from here:

There is a free Windows programme called
Recuva (Recover geddit) which can recover deleted files on your computer's hard drive, provided they have not been overwritten.
[it also works on MP3 players, flash (thumb) drives, SD memory cards]

Or if the project was originally on a hard drive, or if Waleed means that he has lost the data from his flash drive rather than loosing the drive itself.
I doubt that someone would write in to the forum expecting help in finding an item that they had physically lost, so perhaps it would be better to wait for some clarification about the matter.

I appreciate your comments and willingness to help. It seems now I have no hope to find my thumb drive, at all. I just wonna say that after recording I saved on my computer then I transferred the files to the thumb drive. Well, I couldn’t find them anywhere in my computer.
Again I am so thankful for your help
