I just downloaded Audacity, for recording guitar bits. I want to play over a song - in this case "Decode" - so I imported the track (burned from a disc onto iTunes, originally then copied into a folder so I could import it) when I tried to play it back all I got was a sqeek. Can anyone help out?
Thanks.

Re: Can't Import Tracks Right
You are trying to import a file that is in a format that is unsupported by Audacity.
There are two options that you can try:
1) Rip the CD as a WAV file (WAV format files are supported by all versions of Audacity).
2) Upgrade to Audacity 1.3.12 and also install FFMpeg. http://manual.audacityteam.org/index.ph ... tallffmpeg (FFMpeg enables Audacity to import/export many more audio formats).
