The waves are just a few minutes long each. I have 16GB of HDD space free and 2GB of RAM (1.33GB PF usage), so it doesn't seem like those are the culprits. It seems I can join one clip, export to wave, close out of all Audacity windows, and then open the clip I just saved and then add one more clip, and repeat or else I get the error. What can be done to fix this?Failed to copy the file " to [path of file]' (error 3: the system cannot find the patch specified.)

"Patch specified," or "Path specified?"
Do your clips have dates or punctuation marks in the names? Mom's Storytime 3/5/09.wav can kill you. Change to safe filenames. Upper and lower case letters, numbers, dash and underscore only. No other characters.

No dates or punctuation marks. But, I have seem to found a way around it by exporting the clip and then opening it again with Audacity and finally copying and pasting. Don't know why, but it seems to work....
