Hi,
I have a piece of music that has a lot of percussion in it (MP3). I don't think it's a particularly good quality, as the drums have a harsh hard sound, as if the treble it too high. Other than just dulling it with bass boost (which does help), are there other functions I might try to reduce the harshness?
Thanks,
john

Re: reducing harshness
You could have a look in "Analyse > Spectrum" (if available - not sure off hand if it is in Audacity 1.2.6, but if not you could install v.1.3.4). This may reveal "spikes" in the high frequencies that you could then tone down using "Effect > Equalization".
