Removing and Isolating Vocals Help

Hello,
I have only really used Audacity to pull audio from the internet and other sources before. But I thought of a song I wanted to put together by placing other songs inside of it. Basically it would be the original song minus the vocals, and the vocals taken from other songs and placed inside of the original song.

I have looked at the FAQs and wiki and have tried the following:
1.
-Split Stereo Track
-Effect:Invert Right Side
-Mono and play

2.
Downloaded and used Center Pan Remover
(don't know if I need to change anything I just clicked okay and let it do its work).

3.
Downloaded and Used Knockout (including the vst bridge file)

I have been using two mp3 files. One is from a video game and another is a radio play song. The Video Game Music I couldn't separate. The vocals were removed in the Radio Play Song but the quality was significantly reduced. And I didn't see where I could find just the vocals, which is what I was looking for for this song.

Any help would be appreciated. ^_^

Thanks,
Chance

Please read the Wiki again. Unless you have access to the tracks that went into the mix, there is no guarantee you can separate the tracks out of the mix. Kn0ck0ut can try and isolate center-panned material. Try the shareware tools if you want to see if cepstral methods will help. See if you can find a karaoke version of the songs you want on the internet.
