Blackmagic Decklink Capture

Hi All -
I am attempting to capture audio from a cassette deck using the RCA ins on my Blackmagic Decklink Extreme2 break out cable. Audacity does not seem to recognize the Blackmagic Card as a recording device. I'm using Windows XP and aside from the Blackmagic Card, there appears to be something called IDT Audio in the Control Panel. I'm not so PC savvy and was just wondering if anyone has any success capturing audio with Audacity using a Blackmagic Card?
Thanks J

if this is what you have, it's a video card. Audacity can only see audio inputs not combined audio/video inputs. So If it's going to work I would imagine you need to connect to the "Analog Audio" Inputs of the card. If you have just connected the video card you need to restart Audacity; and you may have more likelihood of Audacity detecting the input if you use Audacity Beta.

To find out what IDT Audio is, set it as the default system audio input and set the Audacity "recording device" in Preferences to "Microsoft Sound Mapper" (or record with Windows Sound Recorder - for example on Windows XP, Start > All Programs > Accessories > Entertainment > Sound Recorder or on Windows 7 it's at C:WindowsSystem32SoundRecorder.exe).
