Hi there,
Just wondering if there is anyway to change a mono track into a stereo track. My input track is only playing in the left speaker but I would like it to play in both speakers.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Do you mean you are recording, and if so do you want to record stereo or mono? If mono, set recording channels to "1 (mono)" at Edit > Preferences: Audio I/0 then your recordings will be single channel mono and will play out of both speakers.
For the track you have recorded/imported already, use the
Track Drop-down menu to Split Stereo Track, then use that menu again to make "Mono" the channel you want to listen to. Finally, use the [X] to left of the track to close the other channel.

I downloaded a karaoke track mp3 but when I play it in Audacity (and other programs), it only plays in the left speaker.
I want to change it so that it plays in both speakers.
I hope that makes sense...

There has recently been a feature request asking for such a feature - see:

OK so when you import the MP3 into Audacity it says "Stereo" above the mute/solo buttons, is that so?
So use that track Drop-down menu to "Split Stereo Track". Now you have left and right channels. Is there any music in the right channel? To find out, click above mute/solo to select that right channel then Effect > Amplify > OK. If you now have music, you're happy. If it's still silence, follow the procedure above - you can delete the right channel and make the left into "Mono" so it plays in both speakers. You can then record a mono vocal to go with the karaoke and as long as you use the L...R slider on the vocal track to pan it away from centre you will be able to export a stereo track from those two mono tracks.
You can also split the stereo track you imported, close the right channel, then select and Edit > Duplicate the left channel. Then use the dropdown menu in the upper track to "Make Stereo Track". It will then "say" stereo, but it is two-channel mono and will sound exactly the same as if it were a single mono track.
