IDIOTIC newbie question

Post by Roxanne » Sat Feb 23, 2008 12:41 am

Hi everyone!!! I LOVE Audacity but I know only enough to "wing it" -- after reviewing entire manual am not able to resolve the following on my own.

Used Audacity successfully 6 months ago to split 2 way conversation into two files (so I can import into iClone software and lip sinc each piece of the conversation.) Today I tried again but when I open my sound file (CrazyTalk 4 script file) the file appears to be greatly condensed into just a few seconds long and sounds like a screeching bat or something -- just psycho. It should be two voices talking and be about 2 minutes in length. What I've tried: changing every setting imaginable to every setting there is, including set rate and set sample format. Tried opening my successful file from 6 months ago and that works fine. When I play this new wacky CrazyTalk script 4 from inside iClone it sounds normal.

Is this a setting? Worked beautifully in same circumstances several months ago. Tried converting bat screech to wav file but it stays short & screechy after export. THANK YOU. ;)
