Hi,
The is my first attemp at using audacity. I am also new with computers, so I need all the help I can get. I want to remove the voice from a song and record my voice and keep the music only. I have no idea how to do this. I tried doing some reading and watching audacity help videos. It says to split the tracks but I can't click on split tracks. Can someone walk me through this with baby steps please. Thanks.

Please read this FAQ for the "baby steps" and this Wiki page for more explanation why "vocal removal " won't always work. If it does work, you can overdub your voice over the voice-removed track using these instructions.
