Hey, I use an RCA cable to play live. I've recently learned how to properly record in mono thanks to Gale Andrews, but I'm having trouble getting my interface / keyboard to be detected on Windows Live messenger. It's fine when recording onto Audacity and the audio is connected just fine, but it's just when I try to get Windows Live to detect the voice output on my keyboard, it isn't detected. This isn't really relevant to Audacity, but if anyone has any experience with things like this, it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Re: Playing live
Are you trying to play keyboard into Messenger, or use your keyboard as a microphone?chris110012 wrote:Hey, I use an RCA cable to play live. Does Messenger let you choose the audio input device? If not, set the audio device you want to play into Live Messenger (presumably Tascam) as the default sound recording device.
I assume you don't have a line-in which is why you are using the Tascam, but if you are trying to send music you may also be able to play your Audacity recording, set the default input to "stereo mix" for your inbuilt sound device and have Messenger take that as its input.
Otherwise, ask on the Winows Live Messenger Support Board.
