This is my first time on this forum and i have gone through all the topics and i cant seem to see the specific topic im looking for. Please have patience with me because this is the first time i downloaded Audacity and i do not know how to work it. I am a DJ and i want to be able to record my mixes and some of my live ones as well. What do i have to do to make this work? i plug a stereo jack to my microphine imput on the computer and then the rca part to the mixer in the record section and when i click record on Audacity it gives me an error message. Is there something i can do to make this work or any new idea to do so i can make it work as well. Im totally clueless! thank you in advance for the help!

Plug the RCA phono outputs of the turntable to the phono inputs of the mixer, then attach the main out of the mixer to line-in of the computer (not the microphone jack, which is mono and not meant for line level mixer output).
